Goal of lecture
Using playful tools during babyswimming courses and how it can help in settling in the water and learning to swim in the early ages.
Content of lecture
Using tools on babyswimming sessions:
- SBA - introduction
We approach baby swimming from swimming teaching side. The exersices are designed with step by step tasks, in the way that from the first getting into the water and diving, gradually leads to teaching of gliding in the water.
Our method is based on diving, and by the age of 2-3 years, the exercises contain elements of swimming technique.
Sessions are 30, later 45 minutes long.
We have homogeneous groups, splitted by age and ability.
The exercises and movements are accompanied by songs and rhyme
- Manipulative and generative plays.
- Mathematics of early age plays.
- Tools in the water: Toys for diving, generative toys.
- Tools for preparing swimming, their use in the babyswimming groups, 2-3 years old.
